Dr. Khaira has been practicing veterinary medicine in Alberta for over 15 years. Throughout his career he has continuously taken courses to improve his skills and to familiarize himself with the latest surgical developments, especially in the area of orthopedics. Dr Khaira has been performing Luxating Patellas, fracture repair, and Cruciate Ligament Repair, with extra capsular and advanced TPLO methods. When not at the clinic, Dr. Khaira can be found spending time with family and exploring spirituality.
Dr. Nathaniel Asemadahun, DVM
Dr. Nathaniel finished his Veterinary education in the year 2008 in Nigeria. He moved to Canada in 2013 to continue pursuing his passion for animals. He grew up with a German Shepherd and hopes to have another one in the future.
Animal Health Technician
Julie is an ABVMA Registered Veterinary Technician. Additionally, she has Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences. She has 15 years of veterinary experience and enjoys anesthesia and critical care. She is bright, thoughtful and flexible to make you and your pet comfortable as needed and quick to lend a helping hand. When not hiking or working in the community with one of her many passions, she will happily greet you and your buddy.
Cassandra has a Bachelor of Science with a major in Zoology from the University of Calgary and a diploma in international business. She enjoys working in the veterinary industry and has found a home at Barlow Trail Animal Hospital. In her off time, she can be found watching TV with her cats.
Jill has worked as a Veterinary Office Assistant since she graduated from ABES with a VOA Certificate in 2006. She has a great love for both animals and humans. Starting her career as a Labour and Delivery Nurse, she then has a children’s day home for 23 years and now is working with animals. She has raised children, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds and a pot belly pig called Winston. When not at work she enjoys spending time with family and doing her many hobbies.
