At Barlow Trail Animal Hospital we love what we do, we love our clients and their pets.
It is because of this absolute passion for the community and veterinary medicine that we are making some changes
to help protect you and your loved ones.
The Following changes will be taking place immediately:
WE ARE NOW PROVIDING CURB SIDE SERVICE. WE ARE STILL OPEN, BUT OUR LOBBY IS CLOSED
PLEASE DO NOT COME IN! STAY IN YOUR VEHICLE AND CALL 587-393-8387
HOW DO CURB SIDE APPOINTMENTS WORK?
1. Call the clinic to book your appointment (or to order medications/food)
2. We will email you an intake form for you to submit prior to your appointment
3. When you arrive for your appointment, stay in your vehicle and a staff member will collect your pet from you
4. Upon the completion of your pet’s exam, the doctor will call you to discuss any findings and treatment options
5. A staff member will call you to provide you with and conclude your invoice
6. Your pet will be brought back out to your car
- Please keep a distance of 3-6 feet from those around you.
- Please cover your face with your arm or a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
- Please wash your hands after coughing or sneezing.
YOU HAVE TRAVELED OUTSIDE OF THE COUNTRY IN THE LAST 14 DAYS,
IF YOU HAVE ANY RESPIRATORY SYMPTOMS OR HAVE COME INTO CONTACT WITH
A CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASE OR ARE AT A HIGH RISK OF INFECTION:
PLEASE STAY HOME AND CALL THE CLINIC.
Even though we are staying open our hours will be changing until further notice. Our reduced hours will be as follows:
Tuesday – Friday: 9am to 5pm
If there are any immediate concerns outside of these hours, please seek care at an emergency hospital.
Food and Medication Orders
Due to limitations from our suppliers, we have been asked to keep special food and medication orders to a minimum.
Only one bag/case of food per order.
You will be advised on medication availability at the time of your order.
Pick up Special Orders
When you arrive to pick up your prescription/food please stay in your car, call the clinic and we will bring your item to you.
You can pay via credit card over the phone or we can bring a debit machine to you at the time of pick up.
We will be prioritizing the services that we offer until further notice due to guidelines set forth by the CDC, Alberta Veterinary Medical Association, and AHS. This means that anything that is elective and can wait, should be postponed until restrictions are lifted.
This includes spays, neuters and annual exams for pets older than 2 years. If you are unsure if your appointment would fall under this category, please feel free to call and ask.
Due to the time-sensitive nature of puppy and kitten vaccines, we will still be providing this service.
What we are doing to help protect you
Our staff has been trained in proper disinfectant and sanitization procedures.
We use medical-grade disinfectants on all of the clinic surfaces.
We have spaced appointment times appropriately to limit the number of bodies at the clinic at any given time.
All high touch areas such as doorknobs, light switches, soap dispensers, sinks and taps, counters, phones, keyboards, etc. are disinfected regularly throughout the day.
As you’ve seen above, we are limiting our hours and exposure as much as possible during this time. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
As always you and your pets’ health is our priority and we will do our best to serve you during this time.
We thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.
